| Wagener holds joint training with other area departments. | ||||||||||||
| Wagener FD recently held a joint training session with surrounding departments including Couchton, Hollow Creek and Salley to begin the process of ISO accreditation for rural water supply. After much hard work on everyone's part, this will allow Wagener and it's surrounding departments to hopefully drop their ISO rating. We appreciate everyone's hard work and hope to have this successfully in hand shortly. | ||||||||||||
| Chief Mark Redd passes 30 yrs as volunteer | ||||||||||||
| On Sept 8th, 2008, Wagener FD and Wagener Town Council celebrated 30 yrs of service from Chief Mark Redd. Chief Redd officially joined Wagener FD in September of 1978, although he had been running with the deprtment for several months prior to actually joining. During this time he has risen through the ranks from a firefighter all the way up to Chief. He has been instrumental over the past few years in helping WFD to secure grants and new equipment. He has also been instrumental in keeping WFD on the edge of new procedures and technology to better serve the community. We all appreciate the dedication it has taken over the years and look forward to serving under him for many more years. | ||||||||||||
